DJB Electronics

Privacy policy

This policy explains how personal information is handled on djbelectronics.com. It is written for review before launch and describes the site as it is intended to operate.

Who we are

DJB Electronics develops premium home-cinema equipment. This policy describes personal information collected through djbelectronics.com.

For privacy questions, write to hello@djbelectronics.com. We do not publish a postal address or company registration number on this website.

Information we collect

If you join the updates list, we collect your email address and your confirmation that you want occasional product and development updates.

If you email engineering@djbelectronics.com or hello@djbelectronics.com, we receive the address you write from and the contents of your message.

Our hosting provider records technical information in server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use those logs to operate and protect the site. We do not use them for advertising.

This website does not ask you to create an account, and it does not collect payment information.

How we use information

We use an email address on the updates list to send the occasional notes you asked for.

We use messages you send us to reply and, where it is relevant, to continue that conversation.

We use technical logs to keep the website available and secure.

Marketing updates

We send product and development updates only if you opt in by ticking the consent box on the signup form. Consent is specific to those updates.

You can unsubscribe at any time on the unsubscribe page, or by using the link in an update we send. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any message sent before you withdrew it.

If the email service is not connected, the form will say so. We will not tell you that you have joined the list unless the provider has accepted the request.

Lawful basis

Marketing emails are sent on the basis of your consent.

Replying to messages you send us, and keeping essential security logs, are based on our legitimate interests in corresponding with you and protecting the website. Those interests are limited to operating this site.

Who we share information with

The website is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical logs in order to deliver the site.

The updates list, when connected, is operated by either Brevo or MailerLite. Only one provider is used. That provider stores the email address you submit and sends the updates you requested, on our instructions. The choice of provider is made in server configuration. Provider credentials stay on the server and are not placed in the browser.

These providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where a transfer requires it, we rely on a safeguard recognised under UK data protection law.

We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep an email address on the updates list until you unsubscribe, or until we close the list.

We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to handle the enquiry and keep a record of what was agreed.

Server logs are kept for a limited period set by our host, for security and diagnostics.

Your rights

Depending on your circumstances, you can ask us for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict how it is used, or to receive it in a portable form. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you can withdraw marketing consent at any time.

Write to hello@djbelectronics.com to use these rights. We will respond within one month.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would welcome the chance to put something right first.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies. Joining or leaving the updates list does not set a cookie on your device.

If we later introduce a non-essential cookie, we will update this policy first and ask where the law requires it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website and the updates list develop. The date below will change when we do. The current version was published on 12 October 2026.
